Meet Our Board

Angelia Milton Kornegay, Founder, COE & Program Director. I have lived in Liberty Co. for over 20 years. I worked in the medical field for over 18 years, earning my Associates of Science Degree and my Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Management. I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in business, pressing towards my Doctoral degree. My love for helping others does not stop there, I serve as Program Director for LTOP Angels of Mercy Food Ministry where we serve hundreds of families in need (Living Together On Purpose) as one people (God’s people). I am the owner and operator of Angelic Creations Decorating & Catering service. I am on the Boards of Psalms 112 Ministries & Keeping Liberty County Beautiful, because I want to give back to the community. I am on the committee for The Liberty County Annual Emancipation Proclamation. I am the proud recipient of the 2020 NAACP Mattie M. Hicks Amazing Woman Award & the 2023 Emancipation Willie J. McIver Humanitarian Award.

Wade T. Kornegay, President. I am a native of North Carolina, and father of four. I was a mechanic for the BMW dealership in Goldsboro, NC. I moved to Georgia in 2006 following the voice of God and hoping to make a new start. I worked for Parkers Convenience Story as a Regional Maintenance Technician for two years. I decided to make yet another change, seeking advancement and opportunity, I started working for SNF (Chemtal) in Riceboro, where I was a maintenance supervisor/ technician. I am now retired, and God has been profoundly good to me. I met and married the love of my life in 2009. I am a member and Deacon of the Liberty Tabernacle of Prayer for all People, under the leadership of Pastors Charles & Nancy Kornegay. My stewardship and serving the Lord is the reason for my being. I also sing with the Liberty County Male Chorus, and I play the Bass & Lead guitar. I have been an active member of the LTOP Angels of Mercy Food Ministry since the program began. I love serving.

Angela Foster, Vice President -Born and raised in El Paso, TX., one of two children of the late Alice L. Foster and Percy H. Foster. In 2000, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso. In 2001 I moved to Hinesville, GA and started working at Liberty Regional Medical Center where I found a passion working on the medical surgical unit. Currently I work at Winn Army Community Hospital on Fort Stewart, GA, I have worked there for 10 years on a medical surgical unit and the past 5 years on same day surgery unit. I am the loving and devoted wife of Ray A. Caywood. I have no biological children of my own, but GOD blessed me to have four stepchildren along with six grandchildren. In 2003 I became a member of The Liberty Tabernacle of Prayer for All People in Hinesville, GA where Pastors Charles & Nancy Kornegay is my leaders. I am passionate about doing work for the Lord and assisting my church in any way possible.

Tawanda Gibson, Treasurer - I have worked at VHS Financial Services a local finance and rental company for 14 years; I am the Office Manager. I have over twenty years of management experience, I handle the finance end of the business and work from behind the scenes. I am a highly active member in my church. I have been working since I was 16 years old. I have my Master’s in Human Resource Management Certification. I have a seventeen-year-old daughter who is in her Senior year of High school. In my free time I enjoy reading and swimming. I love being at the beach day or night with family and friends. I have been with the LTOP Angels of Mercy Food Ministry since it started, I began as a greeter and have worked my way up to being a board member and the treasurer of the organization.

Brittney Ellis, Secretary I have a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and currently work with Family Treatment Court in Liberty County. I have been a member of Tabernacle of Prayer for All People for eighteen plus years. God has blessed me in so many ways and he has given me a heart to help people. I am active in the community, and I love working with children and families in need.

Elder Lemuel Johns, Chaplin I was born in the year 1957 in Hagerstown, MD. I am a 1975 graduate of the Pensacola public school system in FL. I joined the US Army Signal Corp. in 1976 and married the love of my life, Marilyn in 1978, together we have 6 beautiful children. In 1987 I heard the voice of God calling me and I surrendered my life to Christ Jesus and became SAVED. In 1996, I retired from the US Army where I served my country proudly, I am a War Veteran. In 1997 I preached my initial Trial Sermon and in 1999 I was elevated to Elder. In 2000 I joined the Prison Chaplin Association. In 2004 I graduated from St. Leo University with my BS in Criminal Justice. Currently I am employed as a Petroleum Lab Tech. I became a member of LTOP Angels of Mercy in 2017 as a volunteer and now I serve as a board member and the organizations Chaplin.

First Lady Karen Brown - Born and reared in Savannah, Ga. I presently reside in Midway, Ga. I have been married to Bishop Dr. Samuel T. Brown, for 25 years. I graduated from Armstrong State University, where I received my ADN degree in 1981 and have been in the Nursing Profession for (40) forty plus years. I plan to retire within the next three years if it be the Lords will. I am presently employed by WACH (Winn Army Community Hospital), Fort Stewart, as a Day Surgery RN. I have been saved since the age of 22 and I am a member of Liberty Tabernacle of Prayer for all People under the leadership of Pastors Charles & Nancy Kornegay, I am a Deaconess and a choir member. I lovingly support my husband, Bishop/ Pastor Brown at Freeman Grove and Ellabell Mission, New Church of Christ, where I serve as FIRST LADY. I enjoy lending a helping hand, I am the newest volunteer and board member of the LTOP Angels of Mercy Food Ministry.

Marvina Jenell Lewis - I am the daughter of Inez & Victor Shanks, a retired Army wife, and mother of four. I am a childcare worker. I have been a member of the Liberty Tabernacle of Prayer for All People since I was a teenager. After I got married, we moved away and traveled for years, but after my husband’s retirement we decided to move back to Liberty County. I currently work for the Fort Stewart School Age Center as a Supervisory Program Specialist. I serve as a Secretary for the Liberty Tabernacle of Prayer and a Youth Teacher with our Children Church Program. I joined the LTOP Angels of Mercy Food Ministry as a volunteer and now I serve as a Board Member. It is my pleasure to serve others as well as my community.

Mary James moved from Brooklyn, NY in 1977 after visiting her brother who was stationed at Ft. Stewart, she decided to make Hinesville her home. She has her master's degree in social works. She has a Masters in Addition Counseling & is Licensed to practice psychotherapy for the government. She worked at Winn Army Hospital in Behavioral Health, specializing in family violence & child abuse for 23 years. She is now retired. She started out as a volunteer for LTOP Angels of Mercy and now She is a proud Board Member. Ms. Mary states "I believe in the vision - Living Together On Purpose and that we are our Brother's Keeper."
